We can help do the cooking and cleaning

As people get older certain domestic tasks such as hanging laundry, ironing or cleaning the house can become more difficult. Our care workers can assist with these tasks, the service is flexible and we’ll carry out the everyday tasks you need a hand with.

We can provide personal care and support

We can provide assistance with daily living – for example some older people struggle to get out of bed, get dressed or have a bath. A visit from one of our dedicated care workers can assist with these tasks and others you might need assistance with.

We can help do your shopping

It can sometimes be difficult to carry shopping home - our care workers can accompany you on shopping visits, or do the shopping trips for you. We can also accompany you to GP or hospital appointments or even social activities.

We can support you after a stay in hospital

Our care team can provide support if you have been unwell and need short term assistance until you are back on your feet. We put a big emphasis on reablement – this is a short intensive period of care designed to help you regain your independence and help get you back on your feet.

Mears provides care services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, either under contract to agency local authority, or directly with you as a private customer. If you already receive funded care you can choose to top this up if there’s something you need that’s not covered under your home care package.
